The Elite distills the essential qualities of a Vispring mattress into a beautifully balanced design. Natural British fleece wool and cotton provide breathable comfort, while individually pocketed springs respond to the shape and movement of the sleeper.
At its foundation is a single layer of hand nested calico pocket springs. Unlike connected spring systems that move as a unit, each Vispring spring responds independently. This allows the mattress to follow the contours of the body with greater precision while maintaining a stable and supportive feel.
In the 150 by 200 centimeter size, the Elite contains 1,254 vanadium steel pocket springs. Each spring is formed from high quality steel, enclosed within natural calico, and carefully nested by hand at the Vispring workshop in Plymouth, England.
Above the springs are layers of bonded British fleece wool and cotton, followed by a softer blend of British fleece wool and cotton. These natural materials provide cushioning, breathability, and moisture management without creating an excessively deep or enveloping surface.
The mattress is hand tufted with felt washers to secure the upholstery and preserve its structure. Two rows of hand side stitching reinforce the borders, while protective wool and air vents support durability and natural airflow.
The result is a balanced and responsive mattress with a comfortable medium character. It provides enough cushioning to feel inviting while maintaining a clear connection to the pocket spring support beneath the body.
