At its foundation are two layers of hand nested calico pocket springs. Each spring moves independently, allowing the mattress to respond precisely to changes in weight and movement. In the 150 by 200 centimeter size, 2,244 vanadium steel pocket springs work together to provide detailed contouring and responsive support.
The upholstery begins with British fleece wool, cotton, cashmere, and silk. These natural fibers create a breathable and luxuriously soft foundation while helping regulate temperature and moisture throughout the night.
Hand teased Austrian Moosburger horsetail adds natural spring and ventilation. Its resilient fibers respond like miniature springs within the upholstery, bringing buoyancy to the mattress and helping the comfort layers retain their character over time.
Real Shetland wool and cash hair provide another layer of refined softness, while a final blend of British fleece wool, cotton, cashmere, and silk completes the natural upholstery. The mattress is enclosed in a distinctive cashmere, silk, and viscose blend ticking that enhances its smooth and luxurious surface feel.
The Cashmere Superb is secured with hand tied wool tufts and natural twine, then finished with three rows of hand side stitching. Protective coir and wool strengthen the borders, while British merino wool provides a refined natural finish.
