At its foundation is a single layer of hand nested calico pocket springs. Each spring responds independently to the weight and movement of the sleeper, allowing the mattress to follow the body while maintaining its distinctly supportive character. In the 150 by 200 centimeter size, 1,326 vanadium steel pocket springs provide precise contouring and balanced support across the mattress.
Above the springs, resilient horsehair introduces natural spring and ventilation. Bonded British fleece wool and cotton provide consistent cushioning, while an additional blend of British fleece wool and cotton creates a breathable and comfortable sleeping surface.
The Baronet Superb is hand tufted with felt washers to secure its natural fillings and preserve the integrity of the mattress. Two rows of hand side stitching reinforce the borders, improve edge support, and reflect the traditional techniques used by Vispring artisans in Plymouth, England.
