The Vispring Devonshire is created for sleepers who appreciate the distinctive softness, warmth, and breathability of natural wool.
At its foundation is a single layer of hand nested calico pocket springs. Each spring moves independently, allowing the mattress to respond precisely to changes in weight and movement. In the 150 by 200 centimeter size, 1,326 vanadium steel pocket springs provide consistent support and detailed body contouring.
Above the springs are generous layers of British wool in three carefully selected forms. British fleece wool provides soft and breathable cushioning. Hand teased Devonshire fleece wool creates an especially plush and inviting surface, while needled British wool adds natural resilience and structure.
Wool manages heat and moisture naturally, helping the mattress remain comfortable throughout changing seasons. Its resilient fibers recover after compression, allowing the upholstery to retain its character without relying on synthetic foam.
The Devonshire is secured by hand with traditional tufting and felt washers, then finished with two rows of hand side stitching. Protective wool reinforces the mattress borders, while air vents encourage circulation throughout its natural upholstery.
